"(Devil's Train Biography)"

" Devil's Train formed In 2009 in Germany and is a Heavy Metal - Hard Rock band littered with Euro-power metal stalwarts, and features Mystic Prophecy main-man R.D. Liapakis, Stratovarius guitarist Laki Ragazas, bassist Jari Kainulainen (ex-Evergrey, ex-Stratovarius) and Jörg Michael (, ex-Running Wild, ex-Axel Rudi Pell,, ex-Saxon) on drums. This line-up, which could undoubtedly be dubbed a super-group, delivers a modern yet raw and honest album that bubbles over with visceral energy, southern sleaze and sex appeal. Liapakis said on forming the group that the idea was to ditch the complicated arrangements and overblown fantasy elements of power metal, and get back to the fundamentals, the primordial ooze of rock. The glorious results to this approach hit the ground running in 2012 with an over-the-top orgy of blazing riffs, sleaze-metal grooves and songs about playing poker with the devil and banging his sister. Devil's Train's self-titled debut album was released February 17, 2012 The album sounded fresh and contemporary, but was also very clearly an homage to days when rock giants roamed the Earth. Following the positive reactions and a wide media echo on their self-titled debut , DEVIL’S TRAIN got their follow-up in the pipeline, set with a release date on January 23rd 2015. Again and again have their supporters expressed their joy about a band still combining the heavy sound of the 80s with the classic hard rock attitude of the 70s. Even though, DEVIL’S TRAIN had been thought to be a short-term side project in the beginning, it got clear pretty quickly that everyone had simply too much fun working together to quit. Instead of keeping it easy and following the straight concept of traditional heavy rock with a biker attitude, which had been so well accepted in the past, DEVIL’S TRAIN had been refining and enriching their individual style for their classically titled follow up “II“ without compromising any of their principles. With the band’s ten year anniversary coming up, and two well received albums under their belts, the European answer to Black Label Society, The Dead Daisies and Black Stone Cherry presents us with a killer new long-player. “Ashes & Bones” features a fat and polished contemporary production, without ironing out any of that good ol’ fashioned Hard Rock attitude Devil’s Train signed with ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records, and announced the release date for their third album, 'Ashes & Bones' in June 2022. "
